Ilea is now Dr. Ilea Chau-Ly! Ilea is the first Ph.D. graduate student in the Lewis Lab! She completed an impressive body of work on Pseudomonas syringae proteins that elicit immune responses or promote bacterial virulence in wild tomato species. Ilea spearheaded many new approaches and opened up new areas of investigation. We will miss her great ideas, her fantastic presentations and of course her delicious baked goods. She will be moving to Boston to start work with a startup company. We wish her all the best and will miss her!
