Ivan was nominated for an OSKI award for Outstanding Undergraduate Student Organization! Ivan co-founded a student group focused on Vertical Farming, where plants are grown under controlled conditions on vertically stacked racks. This strategy can reduce agriculture's requirement for arable land and produce more food for people. Ivan's student group designed and built prototypes, compared hydroponic and aeroponic growth conditions, and donated produce to local food banks.
